I’m sorry to start your week this way, but consider this…
It’s a dark story with a silver lining.
You may have heard that last week President Joe Biden announced that he has tasked the US intelligence community to find the origin of COVID-19, and to seriously investigate the possibility that this is a man-made virus.
The silver lining is that you may have actually heard this in the mainstream media.
In the US…
In Canada…
In the UK…
The US article announces Biden’s directive and calls into question the original WHO assessment of natural transmission from bats to humans.
A good start, especially coming from the top.
The Canadian article focuses on Facebook’s announcement that they will no longer censor posts alleging man-made origins.
Also a fair opening, suggesting that censorship rules may be cracking.
But the UK article is a mainstream media breakthrough, digging into a new study already showing, “COVID-19 has no credible natural ancestor” and “that it is 'beyond reasonable doubt' that the virus was created through 'laboratory manipulation’.”
The science, it seems, is already here.
But in our polarizing, politicizing, pro-censorship times, accurate information is hard to get out.

In it, he and molecular biologist, Gabor Erdosi, get into the details about why this virus must have been made in a lab.
They explain how and why, “…it’s completely within the realms of our technological capability over the past 10 or 15 years.”
It’s heavy stuff, and pretty convincing.

Here are the 3 key points:
1. Experiments - The Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) was, “engaged in a US-funded project that involved so-called 'gain of function' experiments on Coronaviruses.”
A 'gain of function' experiment is "research to see how you can take an existing virus, and make it more transmissible, or more deadly.”
The stated purpose is to study how viruses could become more deadly over time, in order to prevent future pandemics.
Because of the dangers and controversy, this type of research was banned in the US between 2014 and 2017.
2. Geography - “…the Bats that generally carry Coronaviruses do not live in Wuhan. They live in Yunnan, in South China.”
Yunnan is 1292km away from Wuhan.
The leading researcher at the WIV made, “frequent expeditions to the bat-infested caves of Yunnan in southern China and collected around a hundred different bat coronaviruses.”
3. Security - A State Department inspector wrote this about the WIV lab in 2018: “The new lab has a serious shortage of appropriately trained technicians and investigators needed to safely operate this high-containment laboratory.”

The final resource I’ll share is about a key figure at the centre of this controversy…

“…when talking to friendly media, he admits he tries to manipulate the public with lies rather than level with them. In April 2021, he told the New York Times, “When polls said only about half of all Americans would take a vaccine, I was saying herd immunity would take 70 to 75 percent. Then, when newer surveys said 60 percent or more would take it, I thought, ‘I can nudge this up a bit,’ so I went to 80, 85.”
It seems Dr. Fauci may be a better spokesperson than man of science.
It’s been a tough go for scientists with integrity, silenced into submission.
These newly public facts, while difficult, are all the more important to reveal.
We cannot turn away from the truth, even when, especially when, it challenges our existing thinking.
Our discomfort does not compare to the suffering that billions have experienced through damaging C-19 policies, or to the loss of those who’ve died from the virus itself.
We owe it to them, to all of us, to continue to out the truth.
As Gloria Steinem said, “The truth will set you free, but first it will piss you off."
