Food, Farmers, and Freedom

“…We are at the onset of a global famine of historic proportions.”

I was making lunch for a new-found soul sister the other day.

She remarked on how many of the ingredients I was using were foods she loved.

Asparagus, mango, mixed greens, purple onion, pumpkin seeds, organic chicken.

As we broke bread together (well, salad), I was reminded of why most people I know have no real concern about the food shortages and farmer protests happening around the world.

We shop in supermarkets with an abundant variety of foods from an abundant variety of countries — a luxury even kings and queens didn’t have in centuries past.

We rarely, if ever, think about supply chain interruptions that would make our favourite ingredients difficult or nearly impossible to get.

And we’ve certainly never had to think about having enough to eat.

Until now.

As unelected organizations like the World Economic Forum, The World Health Organization, the Rockefeller Foundation, and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation expand their power to influence our everyday lives, we are no longer exempt from suspect policies and practices designed to further their agendas and weaken our ability to make independent choices.

Depending on where you live, the Dutch farmers’ uprising in The Netherlands may hit home or may seem like just another foreign news story — if you’re even getting the story and not the mainstream media spin on the story.

Under the guise of a virtuous goal to green the country and set an example for the rest of the world, the Dutch government is implementing policies that will see half the farms in their country wiped out.

Why does that matter?

Because farms, not supermarkets, are where real food comes from.

Because supporting and buying from small, local farms is an integral part of an authentically sustainable food system for both people and the planet.

And because the expansion of destructive and unhealthy policies is coming soon to a government near you.

Here in Canada, Trudeau has already announced similar goals 👇

To be clear, I’m for environmental sustainability.

I’m for managing our resources responsibly.

And I’m for systems that work in conjunction with nature and ordinary people, rather than in cahoots with the political and financial goals of the über rich.

“The same people who caused the problem are saying, farmers, you’re responsible.”

Vandana Shiva

You cannot force farmers into an unsustainable system and then blame them for adhering to that system.

As you’ll learn from the excellent interview clip below, we need to stop looking for solutions from the people who created our problems.

If you want a perspective from an accredited expert, you can do no better than food sovereignty activist and scholar, Dr. Vandana Shiva.

(Who is also one of my absolute favourite warrior goddess heroes.)

Teaming up with the equally illuminating Russell Brand, here is a short must-watch overview of the whole farming protest/Big Agriculture/food shortage issue 👇

“Who controls the food supply controls the people….”

Henry Kissinger

So how does this affect you and me?

If we’ve learned nothing in the past 2 years, we must wake up to the fact that Big Agra, Big Pharma, Big Tech, and all other mega businesses, organizations, and governments are subject to the same corruption.

As Lord John Edward Acton wrote, "Power tends to corrupt and absolute power corrupts absolutely.”

Food is no exception.

You can get a great overview of the alarming trends in our food systems in this short but info-packed article on

  • Seed patents

  • Fake foods

  • Pesticides and GMOs

  • Burning down of food processing plants

  • Monopolization of the food industry 👇

If you’re a regular reader, I don’t need to explain why the mainstream media isn’t all over this story and isn’t behind the ordinary, working class people fighting for their lives and livelihood.

If you haven’t yet learned about the Trusted News Initiative, you may still be living in a pre-pandem-onia media mindset.

Part of the problem lies in the intentionally divisive perception that you’re either for a greener planet or you’re against it — and if you’re against the Green Revolution, you’re some kind of fossil fuel-swilling, right-wing conspiracy theorist hell bent on putting your own selfish needs above others.

But just like with our coronacrisis, not complying with the government narrative isn't black and white.

Farmers, even those (especially those) protesting against a forced green agenda, are not the bad guys.

You can read HERE about the greening disaster unfolding in Sri Lanka. 👇

We need to learn from the wisdom of our ancestors who knew how to feed the soil and heal our bodies well before there were factory farms and pharmaceuticals.

We need to respect the human cost of myopic plans that, in the end, only serve a new economic master.

And we need to take action to ensure our own food sovereignty.

Circling back, how does this affect you and me?

And what does this have to do with the coronacrisis?

Every piece of fear porn and coercion we’ve been subjected to over the past 2 1/2 years has pushed us towards getting an experimental injection and introducing a digital ID.

Because the end goal is not health, but control.

If it was health, our governments would have been all over an inexpensive prevention campaign to encourage exercise, good nutrition, and stress reduction in order to build our immune systems.

They would have saved billions of dollars and millions of lives just by promoting early treatment through inexpensive repurposed drugs.

They would have kept parks open and fast food restaurants closed — instead of doing the opposite.

If you still think that ending the livelihoods of farmers in a tiny country with virtually no impact on global emissions has anything to do with creating a workable food system and harmonious planet, you MUST read this article 👇

“Eventually, your ability to buy food will be tied to your digital identity and social credit score.”

Dr. Joseph Mercola

This is not conspiracy theory or science fiction.

Even the mainstream media has covered the promotion of insects as protein, the FDA approval of lab-grown meat, the skyrocketing price of fertilizer, Bill Gates’ farmland purchases, and, to a lesser degree, the mysterious destruction of food processing plants across America — they just haven’t put the pieces together.

It has been said that the road to hell is paved with good intentions.

So even if the “Green Revolution” started with well-meaning goals, like many things that grow in popularity, it has been usurped by those with a less than altruistic agenda.

We are being herded towards an artificially created system where a few elites control and profit from every aspect of our lives.

But the farmers in The Netherlands, like the truckers in Canada, are standing up.

And they’re asking us to join them for a Day of International Demonstrations...

People in other countries are following suit.

And this coming weekend, we come full circle with farmers heading to Ottawa and other cities near you, in support of real food, farming, and freedom.

You can check out all the Canadian locations on this Facebook page 👇

It’s hard to imagine empty shelves in a rich and developed country like Canada, but then the people in The Netherlands never expected it either.

We can no longer afford the luxury of thinking it won’t happen here (wherever ‘here’ is).

We need to prepare and stand up — which is actually good news.

With all the problems in the world, it’s sometimes hard to figure out what to do on a personal level.

But buying food is where we vote with our dollars.

We can support our farmers and ourselves by buying local produce and meat directly from them, either at the farm or at a farmers’ market.

We can create victory gardens the way people did during WWll, growing our own vegetables and learning to make preserves.

We can attend a local rally this weekend and show international support for the people who grow our food.

As the video says, let’s join the largest freedom movement in history by going Dutch.

Food Farmers and Freedom. Let's get the COUTTS illegally detained Canadians out on bail as they were no doubt set up. The RCMP seem to be good at setting people up at the request of the government. The Alberta Energy to be exact in one of the many scandals of the RCMP. They bombed an oil field and pinned it on 2 farmers and held them without bail. I think we are seeing this played out again. The RCMP are caught bombing their own vehicles and pinning it on others. They actively surveil people at the request of the government and try to frame people. Are the lawyers for the Coutts detained Canadians fighting properly for their clients ?

Excellent article... Right on the money! The only thing I thing might add in regards to this statement, "Every piece of fear porn and coercion we’ve been subjected to over the past 2 1/2 years has pushed us towards getting an experimental injection and introducing a digital ID," that the 'fear porn' has been around since the 3rd century, in the Vatican's propaganda rewrite of the Essene 90 AD Bible, for pagan worshiping King Constantine. It was more recently embellished, in the 1880's, by Standard Oil Tycoon, Eugenicist and Free Mason, J.D. Rockefeller (Rothschild bloodline), by the injection of Pharmaceutical chemical poisons into all natural healing products, the air, water and earth, following delivery of his Secret Covenant to…
